Well hello there. Thanks for visiting. I am Mahina and this is my little corner of the web where I sell handmade candles and unique vintage candle holders. Ever since I was a child growing up in Australia I have been crafty and interested in making things. This turned into a career in book publishing where I worked on how-to books about art and craft. Now, living in Switzerland, I have had the opportunity to get back into making and over the past couple of years have been learning the art of candle making.

Why Beeswax?

Beeswax is Natural. Beeswax is a natural, non-toxic substance produced by honeybees. Unlike synthetic waxes, which can release harmful chemicals when burned, beeswax emits little to no smoke or soot.

Beeswax is Sustainable. We proudly source our golden yellow beeswax exclusively from Swiss beekeepers. By choosing Swiss beeswax, you are directly supporting local beekeepers and helping to sustain bee populations in Switzerland. Unlike synthetic waxes, beeswax is fully biodegradable, meaning it won’t linger in landfills for decades after use. Unlike vegetable waxes which require intensive farming and processing to produce, beeswax takes much less energy and therefore has a low carbon footprint.

Beeswax is Clean. When you light a 100% pure beeswax candle, you are enjoying a naturally sweet, honey-like scent without any added synthetic fragrances or chemicals.

Beeswax is Beautiful! Their gentle glow and environmentally-friendly origin make beeswax candles not just a source of light - but a small, beautiful ritual.

Why Vintage?

Buying vintage plays a crucial role in supporting the circular economy by extending the life cycle of products and reducing the demand for new manufacturing. Instead of discarding items after a short use, vintage shopping keeps clothing, furniture, and other goods in circulation, minimising waste and saving the resources needed to produce new ones. Choosing vintage supports a more sustainable, mindful consumption model where value is placed on quality, history, and reuse.
